Meditation Groups - A great marketing tool for your health and wellbeing practise

Posted last October 19, 2012, 1:03 am in Health report article

Are you a practitioner who promotes health and wellbeing?

Then a meditation group could be a useful and cost effective promotional tool for your practise.

Stress management is becoming one of the greatest needs in our culture and most people are aware that meditation is a great way to relieve stress.

People are also more likely to attend a meditation group initially to relieve stress than to see a practitioner.  Attending a group is less costly, can become a social outlet and is relaxing and pleasurable.

Running a meditation group allows you to widen your reach to potential clientele.  Potential clients who attend your group can get to know you and the services you offer. You then have the opportunity to build trust and rapport with them and to position yourself as an expert in your field.

This form of marketing also brings you income!  You can refer your existing clients to the group and potentially make clients out of those who attend.  Remember that your reach is not just limited to those who attend your group.  Once they get to know you, they will refer other clients to you (whether or not they are clients themselves – simply because they know and like you) which will multiply the benefit of running your group.

Meditation groups can be run in day or evening hours, at times that work for you.  You can use them to fill quiet time slots or use them to bring more variety to your work.  Working one on one with people all day can be intense, but working in groups can lighten up the day and make it more social.

Make sure that you collect information from those attending your groups to build your database of potential clients.

If you are a naturopath, kinesiologist, counsellor, homeopath, personal trainer, teacher, TCM practitioner, acupuncturist, psychologist, massage therapist, social worker or any other health professional, meditation is a wonderful skill to add to your repertoire.  Perhaps you are already running groups and could benefit my adding meditation to your list of activities.  With this training, you can also provide one on one meditation sessions.

Now that I have explained the marketing benefits of running a meditation group, let’s get to the heart of the matter.  How wonderful it feels to guide others through meditation and how to learn?

In my 10 years’ experience as a guided meditation facilitator, I have studied several forms of meditation, and the one I most enjoy is Guided Visualization.  This form of meditation is an easier entry place for beginners and participants feel results from the beginning.  A lot of relaxation can be incorporated into this style of meditation which means both men and women enjoy it and it provides immediate benefits.

Sharing meditation with your group creates wonderful feelings of inspiration and upliftment.  What better experience for you and your potential clients to enjoy together.  This is what they will remember about you!

So are you ready?  To start up your guided meditation group you can complete some easy to access online training wherever you are in Australia.  The Certificate in Guided Visualization and Meditation is completed fully online and you will love every minute of this nurturing program.

The course is self paced so you can complete it in a minimum of 3 months  or you can take up to 12 months if you are really busy.

The course is on sale for Spring.  So enrol now, as there are limited Sale places available and you can enrol now and start anytime in the next 3 months.

I look forward to helping you spread your wings!
